Since 2012 Holzmann CFD shares the knowledge in different fields in the topic of computational fluid dynamics on the website. Up to 2018, around 44 voluntary tutorials were generated. Each tutorial uses a script that helps to understand the single steps that have to be done to achieve the result. However, based on weak support from the community, the tutorials are now split into advanced (charged) and free tutorials.
The free tutorial section contains fundamental investigations and is kept up-to-date for the community and beginners.
Mathematics, Numerics, Derivations and OpenFOAM®
During the years 2014 and 2017, Holzmann CFD published the book named »Mathematics, Numerics, Derivations and OpenFOAM®« for free to support the OpenFOAM® community. The book edition of 23. February 2017 will be kept for open access.
The latest book version is split into three sections. A free limited (green cover), a paid (green cover), and paid (blue cover). The green paid version is identical to the limited one except for the visibility of all pages.
Holzmann CFD offers several free extensions for OpenFOAM®, which were developed during the years. The applications and libraries are hosted on bitbucket (https://bitbucket.org/shor-ty). Feel free to fork or extend the existing repositories.
Furthermore, if you extend or update libraries, do not hesitate and start a pull request. Holzmann CFD would love to incorporate your code into the next version.
During 2013, Holzmann CFD investigated numerical schemes using a simple convective flow case. The analysis further includes different mesh types, such as hexahedron, tetrahedron, polyhhedron, and various cell-size level investigations — additionally, the influence of the mesh orientation was analyzed. The analysis is published on Holzmann CFD's website and freely available.
Holzmann CFD supports people all over the world on cad.de (German OpenFOAM® forum) and cfd-online.com. However, private and free support is not feasible anymore. Please use the appropriate forums.
